About “In His Wakes”

In His Wakes is a unique, exciting ministry using water sports to share Christ’s love in a powerful and interactive way through its “A Day to Remember” and “On the Shores” outreach programs.

A Day to Remember

Beginning with just five events in 2003,

“A Day to Remember” (D2R) now spans the U.S. and has even crossed international borders.

Since the programs inception, In His Wakes staff, along with 8,000 program volunteers, have impacted over 18,000 at-risk children and adults!

God continues to tweak this amazing water sports program to be exactly what D2R participants need: an effective tool that brings hope and healing to a hurting world. D2R enables participants to push past barriers of fear and distrust. Through one-on-one interaction, the D2R team has built amazing relationships with our participants that allow the Champions within to shine!

All D2R participants and volunteers are exposed to the gospel, many for the first time, through amazing visual analogies between water sports and a relationship with Christ. Hundreds have accepted Christ as their Saviour as well as sought healing for emotional, spiritual and physical pain. What a blessing to be able to lay hands on these individuals and pray for them to receive healing at the waters edge!

On The Shores

Our “On the Shores” (OTS) division began out of Kristi’s desire to reach the water sports community for Christ.

In 2002, Kristi was led to develop a tract ministry called Making the Cut.

To date, over 70,000 copies have been distributed. In addition, Kristi was led to write a book called Running the Course to encourage people to run the course God has prepared for them. Over the years, OTS has reached into the hearts of people worldwide through inspirational writings that bring together analogies of water sports and faith.

OTS travels annually to professional and amateur water sports events to hold non-denominational church services aimed at encouraging people to get off their spiritual ‘docks’ so they can experience the hope, victory and purpose of living a life in Christ.

With many D2R and OTS events in our wakes, we press forward. God continues to expand our events into every state and across the world. We look forward, with your support, to moving across the waters of the world TOGETHER…changing one life at a time!

We Believe:

The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, that it is God breathed and equips every man of God for every good work. We believe it in its entirety. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

The Word of God and the Spirit of God, when allowed to guide one’s life, has the ability to set people free from anything preventing them from living a victorious purpose-filled life. (Gal 5:16-26) (Psalms 119:45) (II Corinthians 3:17)

That Jesus Christ died for His people to walk in freedom. He desires His people to be free from the bondage of addictions, habits, desires, and circumstances. (John 10:10) (Gal 5:1) (John 8:36)

We, as Christians, are called to help people find God’s truth and to teach them to walk in victory. (Matthew 28:19-20)

The only way to true freedom and victory comes through a renewing of one’s mind with the Word of God. (Romans 12:2)

The Word of God, as the foundation of one’s heart and mind, enables one not only to persevere and overcome, but to emerge through life’s challenges with their head held high. (Leviticus 26:13) (Luke 6:46-48)

One’s spiritual, emotional, and physical beings are interdependent upon one another. A victorious life is a life that is balanced in all three of these areas. (I Peter 5:8) (III John 1:3)
